During our visit today, we did two different escape rooms, please see the latter review for information on the Pandemic themed one! The horror themed room is not for the fainthearted. You get given a singular light source, and the NPCs really engage even prior to finding them inside the room, with bangs, voices and other items to help the game feel much more real. I absolutely loved the suprise events (and jump scares), However as the rooms got more scary, I personally needed to step out and leave. When I asked to go, the staff were very friendly and helpful to getting me out, even doubling back for the key to let me grab my things out of the box whilst the rest of the team continued. They made sure I was looked after, and had a small collection of boardgames to play whilst I waited too, which I really appreciate. It was nice being able to ask for help and assistance in the first room, without feeling like we're using too many hints - they were very quick to respond and answer. The costume selection was immense too, and gave nice promotion to the other rooms available. When my group finally came out of the escape room, they seemed to have really enjoyed it, and had alot to tell me about it too! It sounded like a great room and a very horror experience, However the periods of darkness was something I'm glad I didn't carry on through. I'm glad I gave it a go though, and maybe some day I'll feel a little more brave and reattempt it!

My party and I were greeted upon arrival by our wonderful host, I think his name was James. He took all the Covid precautions which made us all feel comfortable as we are very worried about the whole pandemic. We where then given the safety briefing before been lead to the room. Once we where in it only got better. We where absolutely terrified by the NPC in the room and the room as a whole. The decoration and atmosphere was amazing. After we escaped, in only 69 minutes, we where once again greeted by the host and led to the lounge. The host was on top form again and we event got a nice prize. 10/10 experience, Would 100% recommend. Will be back soon to try resistance!

Friendly host and staff Survivor game A puzzles didn’t work when the correct result was entered which resulted in us being confused for 20 minutes. We were blamed for not positioning the the colours correctly and in the dead center of the puzzle. Someone had to come in to check and confirmed we were right which kinda killed it for us. My friend also sustained injuries from a drop for which he now needs a chiropractor.. otherwise good, not worth the travel from Essex though.

Great experience!! Liner cludes!! Intense story line!! I came here with my friends in UOB. I have played several Escape Rooms in Birmingham before. Personally, I feel that this is the only Escape Room in Birmingham that can reach my expectation. Supreme experience. Great immerse！ In particular, in terms of epidemic prevention, all the staff's gloves and masks are well protected throughout the whole process. Besides, masks and gloves are provided.

this game was SO COOL. We played Survival and it was insane. We ended up chickening out once we found out we had to split up, (its SO SCARY,) but James was super nice and walked us through the rest of the room!! Its VERY physically involved, crawling and falling through props was super duper fun! ive never had an escape room so involved, and ive worked in 2 other escape room companies in america. These are god tier rooms and we're definitely going to be back soon to play the covid-19 one!

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. For ages I have been looking for a really scary escape room, and this did not fail to deliver. For someone like me, who doesn't scare easy, I had a blast and was jumpy at times, but I was mostly in hysterics. The games master James was amazing and he really added to experience. I went with a bunch of people that scare easy, so laughing at them made the experience super fun. My cousin literally fell to the ground as he got scared, too funny! The 90 minutes was very helpful as it is challenging. Definitely worth it, I would highly recommend. I felt like I was in a real horror movie :D

What a fantastic time I had! I went to the 404 Escape Room with 4 friends and had an absolute blast. The clues were very entertaining to complete and the jumps cares kept me on edge like a deer being hunted. Our experience was made even better by our host, Sam Ellwood, who made us feel reassured before we went in, and was very accommodating while we were escaping. Overall, I would very much recommend this to anyone looking for an exciting and fulfilling night out!

Absolutely insane, and probably the first escape room that's genuinely spooked me! The room was challenging, but each puzzle made sense when you thought about them logically & each room was very different - this really felt like a hands on experience with some great surprises. 100% recommend both of the 404 escape rooms we did. We visited as a pair and were looking forward to our first 90 minute horror escape The room has one point of it that we have never seen or heard of before which saved it,I’d say without that it would be pushing a 2 star review ⭐️ Some of the puzzles were really good (towards the end with puzzles spreading across 2 rooms ,some were pointless and when we got the correct solution it didn’t allow us to continue as we hadn’t looked at the walls to find the answer which is silly really as we still had the same answer (the correct one) 🤷🏻‍♀️ Our games master was not as enthusiastic as we would have liked but maybe that’s as we are so outgoing 🤷🏻‍♀️ Worth a visit for the one point that saved it but we were not overly impressed (sorry guys)

As a family of 5, we have completed a number of escape rooms around the UK but I have to say this has been our best experience. Everything from being blindfolded at the start of the game to the puzzles was brilliant and thought out. Heads up, I would be a fan of horror to this game! We did like the fact that the game is 90 minutes long as you feel you are getting real value for money but that time does go fast when you are having fun. James is a great host and I can't wait for the new game to be built so that we can come back and conquer it.

Tired, lack lustre and simple. Advertised as a 5 star difficulty horror themed room with few padlocks, we didn't rush through by any means and were done in 41 minutes. We counted 7 puzzles to complete in total with 3 padlock style puzzles. Naz was a welcoming host but frankly having an NPC ruined the experience as it broke the atmosphere. There is no story, just random 'scary' posters and props, which makes you wonder what you are trying to achieve when starting the room. Loud music in the room made no sense and couldn't hear the other people. Traps actually hurt too, be warned. You'd be far better spending the 10 extras minutes travelling into central Birmingham and getting a far better crafted escape experience. Price is extortionate for the quality of this escape room, I'd personally advise to avoid.

404 escapes … where do I begin. As someone who has spent years working in escape rooms I am not an easy person to impress but I need to say that this was THE BEST EXPERIENCE I’ve ever had. I won’t say too much as to not ruin it for all you future players but I will say this: the staff were welcoming, friendly, funny and immediately put you at ease; the puzzles are well thought out, challenging and incredibly rewarding; the design of the rooms is so immersive and realistic that i genuinely forgot it was an escape room for at least ten minutes… okay maybe it was the whole game … I apologise to my teammates who had to deal with me thinking this was life or death and finally the girl running our game, Naz, was just THE WHOLE PACKAGE. She explained everything so well and played her part with passion and conviction. If you are considering playing a room here, stop thinking and start booking because it was honesty a AMAZING experience that I will never forget.

Myself, my partner and my cousin's did the survival escape room on Friday it was a really fun but scary experience. Would highly recommend this escape room, it's one of the best ones we've done so far. Bethe our host was excellent and gave me a few frights throughout the game. The game itself was well thought out and was well balanced timewise, we felt we were progressing at a steady pace. We managed to escape at 63 minutes! Very proud of ourselves for this :) Overall a great escape room with a decent storyline, be prepared for a few frights throughout!
